About gentoobr

gentoobr started years ago as a corner of the Brazilian Gentoo Linux community — a place to swap configs, ebuilds and hard-won fixes. The distro-tribalism has mellowed since then, and the site has become something broader: a notebook for open-source software, command-line habits and the practical tools that survive contact with real life.

There is no company here and nothing to sell. Just notes, written down so the next person (often future me) doesn't have to solve the same problem twice.

If a piece of free software made your week a little less annoying, that's the kind of thing we write about.
